Confidentiality

I am in private practice. You are hiring me to deliver you a service. I am working for you. You tell me what you want to happen in your life. If you are not sure, I will work with you using what you have to say and offing you assessments to help you determine what you want to happen in your life. Sometime we discover what we are thinking by talking to another person. Our ideas are often formed when we express them to another person.  I am not here to judge you. I am here to find out what you want and to work with you collaboratively to figure out how you can make that happen. Rational means you will understand where you are and what you will have to do to get where you want to be.  First, we have to discover where you want to be by determining what you want to happen in your life.

I am a mandated reporter so if you tell me of child or elder abuse, or a plan to hurt yourself or someone else that you are going to carry out, then I have to help you get services from system by helping you report and ask for addition services available from forensic and/or social service agencies.
